In the fight on the night of April 12, British boxer Tyson Fury defeated Russian athlete Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Stadium in London.

The former world champion fought for the first time in a year and a half after losses to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.

The fight lasted 12 rounds, after which the judges scored it 120-108, 120-108, 119-109 in favor of Fury.

The Russian started the fight aggressively but quickly tired, allowing Fury to control almost the entire bout.

The difference in strikes during the fight was striking, with Fury landing four times as many punches: he recorded 199 accurate strikes, while his opponent had 59. In terms of power punches, the advantage was even greater – 76 to 7 in favor of the Brit.

This marks Fury’s 35th career victory and his first since October 2023. Until now, he had only lost to Oleksandr Usyk, twice in 2024.

After the victory, the Brit grabbed the microphone and called out another British boxer – Anthony Joshua, who was present at the fight in London.

“You’re next. You’ll be knocked out, believe me,” Fury said.

Joshua immediately responded to him.

“I beat you up when we were kids, and I’ll do it again. I’ve been chasing you for 10 years. You won’t tell me what to do. I’m the boss, and you work for me,” he declared.

Recall that earlier, former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury explained his decision to return to the ring after a year of inactivity. The 37-year-old Brit also made bold statements about his plans to continue his career.
