Historic success for the “blue and yellow” and the end of a 10-year era for the Americans: results of the qualification for the world’s main tennis tournament
The Ukrainian tennis team will play in the final part of the Billie Jean King Cup for the second consecutive time. Following the qualification round of the unofficial world championship among women’s national teams, the complete list of participants has been determined, who will compete for the main trophy in China in September.

Ukrainian triumph: no chances for opponents
The Ukrainian team demonstrated the best result among all participants in the qualifiers. In the match against the Polish team, the “blue and yellow” did not give their opponents a single match. The final blow was delivered by debutant Oleksandra Oleynikova, ensuring a decisive victory with a score of 4:0.
It is worth noting that last year the Ukrainians made history by reaching the main draw for the first time and immediately advanced to the semifinals. This current confident exit reaffirms Ukraine’s status as one of the top teams in world tennis.

The sensation of the decade: the USA team is out
The main surprise of the qualification was the elimination of the USA team. The Americans, who played in the final last year, sensationally lost to the Belgian team (1:3). Thus, the most decorated team in the world (18 tournament victories) will not compete for the title in the finals for the first time in 10 years.
The most dramatic battle was between the Czech Republic and Switzerland, where the fate of the ticket was decided by the last match.

The decisive matches for the prestigious trophy will take place in Shenzhen, China. The tournament will run from September 22 to 27.
