“Golden” match of the UPL and a rehearsal for the Cup final: the main intrigues of the 23rd round, schedule, and broadcasts Source: rbc.ua +rel=”nofollow”

LNZ and “Shakhtar” will hold a key match for the championship

On April 10, the 23rd round of the Ukrainian Premier League will kick off. The schedule is set for four days.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the official website of the UPL.

The battle for “bronze”

The round will start on Friday at 13:00 in Kropyvnytskyi, where the main outsider of the season, “Poltava,” will host “Polissya” from Zhytomyr. On the same day, at 18:00, “Rukh” from Lviv will face “Koloss” from Kovalivka at the “Arena Lviv.”

Three matches will take place on Saturday, April 11. At 13:00, Lviv’s “Karpaty” will play at home against “Oleksandriya.”

At 15:30 in Zhytomyr, “Metalist 1925” from Kharkiv will compete against the capital’s “Dynamo.” This will be an important match for Kyiv in the battle for bronze medals, which they are currently contesting with “Polissya.” Additionally, the match is being referred to as a rehearsal for the cup final, as both Kharkiv and Kyiv clubs are the only representatives of the UPL remaining in the tournament. They are favorites for the upcoming semifinal matches and are very likely to contest the trophy between themselves.

The Saturday program will conclude with a match in Rivne, where “Veres” will meet another capital representative, “Obolon,” at 18:00.

The leaders’ battle – for dessert

Two games will take place on Sunday, April 12. At 13:00, “Kudrivka” will host Kryvyi Rih’s “Kryvbas” in a nominally home game in Rivne. At 15:30, at the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Stadium in Kyiv, “Zorya” from Luhansk will play against “Epicenter” from Kamianets-Podilskyi.

The main match of the round – between the leaders LNZ and “Shakhtar” – will take place on Monday, April 13, at 13:00 in Cherkasy. In the first round, Vitaliy Ponomariov’s team shocked the giant from Donetsk by defeating them away (4:1). It was after that match that the Cherkasy team announced itself as a contender for the “gold.” The outcome of the upcoming game will significantly influence the fate of the championship this season.

It is important to note that the “miners” will play the match amid fatigue after a tough Conference League match against the Dutch AZ and the journey from Polish Krakow to Cherkasy. Immediately after the domestic championship match, they will head to Alkmaar for the return game.
