From now on, the Strait of Hormuz will be blocked not only by Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that due to the failure of negotiations with Iran, the American fleet is beginning a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. No ship will be allowed to enter or exit.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Trump’s message on his own social network, Truth Social.

Trump stated that the negotiations with Iran supposedly went “well,” but an agreement could not be reached due to Iran’s unwillingness to abandon nuclear weapons. Therefore, the U.S. is announcing the start of the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
“At some point, we will reach the principle of ‘Everyone is allowed to exit, everyone is allowed to enter,’ but Iran did not allow that to happen, simply saying, ‘Maybe there are mines out there,’ which no one knows about except them,” Trump said.
According to him, the U.S. Navy command has been ordered to “search and intercept” all vessels that pay Iran a “fee” for safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
“No one who pays an illegal fee will have safe passage in open waters. We will also begin destroying the mines planted by the Iranians in the straits. Any Iranian who shoots at us or at peaceful vessels will be sent to hell! Iran knows better than anyone how to put an end to this situation that has already devastated their country,” the president emphasized.
Trump also stated that the blockade would begin “soon,” and other countries would allegedly be involved in its enforcement. The U.S. will not allow Iran to receive money from the passage of vessels and create nuclear weapons.
“Moreover, at the right moment, we will be fully ‘prepared and loaded,’ and our military will destroy what little remains of Iran!” Trump promised.
U.S.-Iran Negotiations: What We Know
Recall that U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance stated that the parties did not reach an agreement to end the war following negotiations with Iran in Pakistan. In particular, Tehran is not yet ready to abandon its nuclear program.
Interestingly, Trump himself stated that he does not care whether there will be an agreement with Iran at all. He claims that regardless of the outcome, the United States has won and continues to win.
As reported by the media, negotiations between the U.S. and Iran have stalled over the issue of control over the Strait of Hormuz. In particular, Tehran wants to maintain control and opposes the ongoing “joint” management. The U.S., on the other hand, wants to prevent such an option.
The funniest thing is that before the negotiations, Trump claimed that the strait would be open regardless of whether there was an agreement with Iran or not. Shortly thereafter, on Saturday, he announced the process of unblocking the Strait of Hormuz.
