Rain and even wet snow are likely in some areas
Cold air from the north continues to move into Ukraine, significantly affecting the April weather. Meteorologists are warning not only about precipitation but also about dangerous gusts of wind.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a publication from the press service of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center on Facebook.

What the weather will depend on tomorrow
According to the forecast from UkrHMC specialists for April 8, the uncomfortable weather in Ukraine will be caused by the rear part of the cyclone (with its center to the east of our territory).
Additionally, a cold air mass will be present at higher altitudes.
It will be supplemented by “new portions of cold from northern directions.”
What to expect from precipitation and wind in Ukraine
The weather in Ukraine tomorrow is expected to be cloudy, with some clearings.
A light rain is also forecasted. At night – with wet snow.
In the Carpathians – light snow.
The wind will be northwesterly, at a speed of 7-12 m/s.
During the day, gusts of 15-20 m/s are likely in some areas:
- in the western regions;
- in Vinnytsia region;
- in Zhytomyr region.
What to expect from air temperature
The air temperature across Ukraine is expected to be around 1-6 degrees Celsius tonight.
“On the ground, in Transcarpathia and the northeast of the country, and in the air, frosts of 0-3°C are expected,” specialists from the UkrHMC reported.
During the day, temperatures are forecasted to range from 4 to 9 degrees Celsius.
In the Carpathians, the air temperature at night and during the day will be around 0-3 degrees below zero.

What weather is forecasted for Kyiv and the region
In the territory of Kyiv city and Kyiv region, the weather on April 8 will also be cloudy, with some clearings.
A light rain is expected. At night – with wet snow.
The wind will be northwesterly, at a speed of 7-12 m/s.

Air temperature at night:
- in Kyiv – around 1-3 degrees Celsius;
- in the region – from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius (on the ground – frosts of 0-3°C).
Air temperature during the day:
- in Kyiv – around 6-8 degrees Celsius;
- in the region – from 4 to 9 degrees Celsius.
