Putin issued a new batch of justifications for the war against Ukraine.

Russian dictator cynically fantasized about a righteous battle against Ukraine

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin cynically referred to the war against Ukraine as a “righteous battle for the future of Russian children.”

As reported by RBC-Ukraine, the statement from the Kremlin leader was cited by “RIA-Novosti.”

During the celebration of the National Guard Day of Russia, the dictator claimed that the occupiers on the front lines are supposedly confidently conducting combat operations.

“This is a righteous battle for a peaceful, free, and safe life for our children and grandchildren on our land. For the sacred, historical right of our people to speak in their native language,” Putin said.

He also added that through the aggressive war against Ukraine, Russians are allegedly preserving “the teachings and faith of their fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers.”

Putin’s justifications

It should be noted that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has repeatedly concocted absurd justifications for the war against Ukraine.

As noted by the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, the Kremlin leader even attempts to distort historical facts to make the onset of the war with Ukraine seem more justified.

The dictator derives “root causes” of his aggression from distorted historical facts, causing suffering for the peaceful residents of Ukraine.

It is worth mentioning that Ukraine and Russia are currently continuing peace negotiations mediated by the United States. The Russians demand the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Donbas.

Recently, the head of the Ukrainian state, Vladimir Zelensky, stated that Washington is ready to agree on security guarantees for Ukraine as soon as the Ukrainian authorities abandon Donbas.
