World leaders addressed the US and Iran
The United States and Iran have reached an agreement for a two-week ceasefire. European leaders welcomed this step and called for a final diplomatic resolution to the conflict in the coming days.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a joint statement from leaders of several European countries and Japan, published on the website of the European Union Council.

Diplomatic resolution and the role of partners
Western leaders expressed support for the agreements reached with the mediation of Pakistan and other partners. The joint statement emphasizes that the priority now should be preparing for a complete cessation of war.
European politicians stressed that achieving sustainable peace can only be done through diplomatic means. They called on all parties to strictly adhere to the ceasefire, particularly in the territory of Lebanon.
Protection of civilians and energy security
The participants in the statement emphasized that the success of the negotiations is critically important for the security of the entire Middle East and for the protection of the civilian population of Iran.
“This will be crucial for protecting the civilian population of Iran and ensuring security in the region. It can prevent a serious global energy crisis,” the statement reads.
Additionally, the governments of the signatory countries confirmed their intention to promote freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which is a strategic hub for global energy supplies.
At risk of collapse
It should be noted that the stability of the agreement was threatened almost immediately. Just a few hours after the agreements, Iran attacked the countries of the Persian Gulf, provoking a new wave of concerns regarding the safety of strategic maritime routes.
Furthermore, the Iranian side accused Israel of violating the ceasefire conditions due to operations in Lebanon and threatened to denounce the agreements, which could return the region to a state of large-scale energy crisis.
RBC-Ukraine also reported on who gained the advantage as a result of the direct confrontation between Tehran and Washington and Jerusalem, and why the announced truce is referred to as “fragile.”
