Specialists warn of dangers on the roads and in the mountains
The weather in Ukraine tomorrow will be warm, although with certain hazardous phenomena in some regions. However, later, if preliminary forecasts are to be believed, a cold snap may arrive.

What to expect from the weather in Ukraine tomorrow
According to the forecast from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center for April 2, the weather in Ukraine will be cloudy with clear spells.
Ukrainians were informed that “calm weather will be caused by a low-pressure area.”
Meanwhile, a moist relatively warm air mass will be present at higher altitudes.
Given this situation, tomorrow light rain is likely in some areas. In the Carpathians, there is even a chance of light wet snow.
Winds are expected to be predominantly northeast at a speed of 5-10 m/s.
Air temperature across Ukraine on April 2 may be as follows:
- at night – around 5-10°C (in the western regions – a bit cooler – around 2-7°C);
- during the day – around 14-19 degrees above zero.
In the Carpathians, the air temperature both at night and during the day will range from 0 to 5 degrees Celsius.

In which regions dangerous fog may occur
According to a warning from UkrHMC about hazardous meteorological phenomena, fog may occur at night and in the morning on April 2:
- in the southern regions;
- in most central regions;
- in Sumy region;
- in Kharkiv region.
Visibility may be around 200-500 m.
“The level of danger is yellow,” specialists emphasized.
It is noted that such weather conditions may lead to disruptions in transportation on roads and streets.

In which regions avalanche danger remains
Both today and tomorrow – due to the thaw – significant avalanche danger is expected in the highlands:
- eastern part of the Transcarpathian region;
- Ivano-Frankivsk region.

What the weather will be like in Kyiv and the region
In the territory of Kyiv city and Kyiv region, the weather on April 2 will also be cloudy with clear spells.
Light rain is likely in some areas.
Winds are expected to be predominantly northeast at a speed of 5-10 m/s.
Air temperature in Kyiv:
- at night – around 7-9°C;
- during the day – around 17-19°C.
Air temperature in the region:
- at night – around 5-10°C;
- during the day – around 14-19°C.

When a cold snap may come to Ukraine
According to meteorologist and forecaster Natalka Didenko, throughout tomorrow (April 2), a “moist air mass with periodic rains” will prevail in Ukraine.

According to her, Palm Sunday will be warm (referring to April 5, 2026).
However, later, according to preliminary (tentative) forecasts, a cold snap may occur in most regions of Ukraine.
Didenko specified that the weather may change approximately from April 7-8.
