“Does nothing”: Rubio stated that Kremlin’s support for Iran does not affect US operations.

Rubio claims that Iranian support from Russia allegedly will not affect the course of U.S. operations

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio dismissed reports that Russian assistance to Iran somehow hinders U.S. operations against the Ayatollah regime.

As reported by RBC-Ukraine, Rubio made this statement during a press conference.

In response to a journalist’s question about whether Russian support for Iran has intensified, Rubio initially expressed outrage. But then he was able to explain what is actually happening.

“Listen, I’m not going to… let me put it this way. Russia is not doing anything for Iran that would in any way hinder or affect our operation or its effectiveness. That’s the best way I can put it,” he stated.

Iran’s support from Russia

Recently, the Kremlin publicly acknowledged that Russia is not a neutral party in the conflict between Iran and Israel. The Russian ambassador to the UK, Andrey Kelin, emphasized that the Kremlin supports Tehran.

Iranian authorities also acknowledged the provision of military assistance from Russia. While earlier cooperation was attempted to be concealed, Tehran now confirms that arms supplies and joint defense projects are part of the strategic alliance between the two countries.

It has reached the point where Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian demonstratively thanked Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Russian for “inspiration in the war” with the U.S.

Meanwhile, the situation in the U.S. is worsening. So much so that Washington is now considering stealing weapons intended for Ukraine and paid for by European countries.

Recently, the American publication The Washington Post, citing sources, reported that Pentagon officials are considering sending weapons intended for Ukraine to the Middle East.

Commenting on this information, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte noted that the supply of American weapons to Ukraine, which Alliance countries purchased from the U.S. under the PURL program, continues.

However, by the evening of March 27, Rubio confirmed that the U.S. could redirect weapons originally intended for Ukraine to conduct operations in the Middle East. Thus, the U.S. Secretary of State effectively confirmed that Washington is ready to “abandon” Ukraine and its allies by appropriating already paid-for armaments.
