Judges of the Anti-Corruption Court Request the Transfer of a Building in Solomianskyi District

The judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court are asking President Volodymyr Zelensky to intervene in the situation regarding the allocation of appropriate premises for the institution.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the press service of the HACC.

The Essence of the Appeal to the President

The assembly of HACC judges decided to appeal to the head of state to resolve the issue of the lack of a permanent premises for the administration of justice.

Despite the fact that the court has been operating for more than six years, it still does not have an appropriate building.

The relevance of the issue has increased due to the completion of the next stage of selecting new judges. The addition of 22 new colleagues in the HACC and the Appellate Chamber requires the creation of working conditions for their activities.

Meeting EU Requirements

Ensuring the material and technical base of the court is part of Ukraine’s Euro-integration commitments.

According to the Roadmap on the Rule of Law, the transfer of premises was supposed to be completed before the third quarter of 2025.

The judges have already identified a suitable building in Kyiv at the address: Vasyl Lypkyvskyi St., 35.

It meets the functional needs of the court. Currently, the decision depends solely on the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

What is Known About the New Head of HACC

Recall that on March 25, the High Anti-Corruption Court elected a new leader. Igor Strohiy has taken the position of head of the court, and he will lead the institution for the next three years.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported what is known about Igor Strohiy, who previously served as a judge in the HACC and participated in the consideration of high-profile corruption cases.
