What is known about the collaboration

The statement indicates that both institutions aim to combine their capabilities to gain new insights into the impact of music on human health.

In particular, the clinic specializes in medical care, biomedical research, and education, while the philharmonic orchestra represents global artistic achievements, supports young musicians, and engages in cultural education.

As part of the partnership, the parties plan to investigate how music can influence:

  • disease prevention;
  • treatment;
  • mental health;
  • recovery after exertion;
  • increased performance.

What research is planned

Among the future project directions:

  • musical physiology;
  • neurobiological foundations of music’s influence;
  • application of technologies in the digital environment.

There will also be the development of formats for a broad audience. This includes dialogue concerts and health initiatives related to music.

In this collaboration, the music community will act not only as a partner in research but also as a subject of study.

The project’s goal is to combine medicine, science, and culture for a deeper understanding of music’s impact on humans. The results obtained are planned to be used both in medical practice and for the wider society.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported on the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers at the “Puscha Voditsa” center, where medical treatment is combined with emotional recovery. In particular, how soldiers are helped to overcome PTSD, adapt after injuries or loss of vision through music therapy, working with psychologists (particularly on a peer-to-peer basis), canine therapy, and family support.
