The Israeli ambassador revealed what Zelensky and Netanyahu will discuss in the near future.

What will be the main question?

The conversation between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may take place soon. Presumably, the main topic will be the situation in the Middle East.

This was reported by the Israeli ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, in an interview with RBK-Ukraine.

The Israeli Prime Minister has been eager to speak with the President of Ukraine for a long time. Brodsky explained why the conversation has not yet taken place and what issues the parties plan to discuss.

“As far as I know, the conversation has not yet happened due to technical reasons. I hope it will take place in the coming days. The exact topics are unknown to me. The request for the conversation came from the Israeli side. I think the main question is the discussion of the situation in the Middle East, Iran,” he said.

The Israeli ambassador also suggested that the Israeli Prime Minister would not miss the opportunity to thank Ukraine for recognizing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.

“Many countries have done so after this, but we value Ukraine’s decision, and it is a precedent,” he emphasized.

Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East

It should be noted that recently Ukraine has been actively sharing its experience in countering Iranian technologies on the international stage. In particular, Ukrainian specialists in shooting down “Shaheds” have gone to the Middle East to assist partners in setting up defense systems.

Additionally, Ukraine has already sent its own drones and experts to strengthen security in a region that is constantly under threat of attacks from pro-Iranian groups.

It is worth noting that such cooperation is becoming increasingly relevant, as even major market players, such as the Saudi oil giant Aramco, are rushing to enhance their defenses against aerial threats.

Against this backdrop, on March 14, the head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Commission, Ebrahim Azizi, claimed that Ukraine is allegedly a “legitimate target” for Iran due to its assistance to Israel with interceptor drones.
