Orban held a rally in his support, with Trump among the speakers.

Viktor Orban Held a Conference in Hungary Featuring Donald Trump

The Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban organized an event in Budapest, dubbed the “Fifth American Conservative Conference,” to showcase his alleged support. U.S. President Donald Trump even made an appearance there.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Hungarian publication HVG.

Specifically, Trump reiterated his support for Orban’s re-election and his political party. According to Trump, Orban is supposedly a “strong leader.”

“You have my full, unconditional support… He has shown what a country is capable of when it defends its borders, its culture, its heritage, its sovereignty, and its interests,” Trump stated.

The U.S. President also mentioned that Europe needs to get its act together, as “it has so many problems.” Trump believes the continent should follow Orban’s example. That is why he wants Orban to win the elections in April.

Meanwhile, other European politicians of right-wing and pro-Russian orientation attended the propaganda event. For instance, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who leads the “Georgian Dream” government—whose legitimacy is questioned by the Georgian opposition—was present.

Among other guests at the propaganda gathering was the leader of the Dutch anti-European Party for Freedom, Geert Wilders. Argentine President Javier Milei and the new Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš were also supposed to attend but canceled their visits at the last minute.

However, Babiš, who is suspected of anti-European sentiments, did speak at the conference, like Trump, in an online format.

Orban Escalates Relations with Ukraine

It is noteworthy that Orban is building his election campaign on attempts to create Ukraine as an enemy. Despite the risks posed by such actions, the pro-Russian Hungarian Prime Minister is systematically escalating relations with Kyiv.

A fierce anti-Ukrainian and anti-European propaganda campaign has unfolded in Hungary. It is known that Orban is receiving assistance from the Kremlin. In particular, Kremlin intelligence allegedly suggested staging an assassination attempt on Orban.

The leader of the Hungarian opposition party “Tisa,” Peter Magyar, accused Prime Minister Viktor Orban of inviting agents from the Russian GRU to Hungary to interfere in the parliamentary elections scheduled for April 12.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine also reported that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry sharply reacted to a series of anti-Ukrainian actions by Hungary. Orban was warned about the dangers posed by his actions.
