What was the reason for the use of firearms?
In Odessa, during the detention of a military personnel in the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRSS), representatives used firearms to calm the surrounding crowd.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the press service of the Odessa regional TCRSS.

It is noted that on March 17 in Odessa, during a check of military registration documents by a notification group, a citizen was found who, according to relevant databases, is wanted for committing a criminal offense. Subsequently, he began to flee, and the citizen was detained.
This situation attracted the attention of bystanders, who actively interfered with the work of the military TCRSS. It was reported that physical force and tear gas were used against the military personnel, and there was also an attempt to block vehicles.
“In order to stop the group attack, which posed a direct threat to the life and health of the personnel, one of the servicemen used a personal noise device (starter pistol) and fired a warning shot into the air,” the Odessa TCRSS stated.
Subsequently, the detained individual was handed over to law enforcement agencies. A service check has been initiated regarding the legality of the use of the pistol.
Recall that recently in Volyn, a group of unknown individuals in seven vehicles attacked a notification group and attempted to “rescue” a military conscript.
An even bolder incident occurred in Prykarpattia, where a man stabbed a TCRSS officer during a document check.
A high-profile case was also recorded in Transcarpathia, where local residents beat a military vehicle with wooden sticks while mobilization activities were being conducted.
