Ukrainian delegations in the Middle East have two key areas of focus
Ukrainian groups in the Middle East are working on two key issues – drone defense and practical solutions for air protection.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Facebook post of NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov.

“In the past week, I visited the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan. I held meetings with the leadership of these countries and relevant agencies. At the same time, Ukrainian military specialists are coordinating with the NSDC in each of these countries,” Umerov noted.
According to him, the work is focused on two areas. The first is the application of Ukrainian technologies to counter air threats, particularly drone attacks.
The second area involves consultations with partners to assess the security situation and prepare practical solutions for air protection based on Ukrainian experience.
“Our teams conducted an expert assessment of the protection of critical infrastructure and developed specific solutions. Expert recommendations are also provided to enhance the effectiveness of certain air defense systems,” the NSDC Secretary added.
He also noted that interception units have already been deployed on the ground to protect civilian and critical infrastructure, and work is ongoing to expand coverage areas.
“We have also identified further steps for the development of long-term security cooperation with each of these countries. Ukraine stands for the protection of life and sovereignty alongside those who support us in maintaining our independence,” Umerov added.
What preceded this
We remind you that earlier we reported that Rustem Umerov went to the Middle East to discuss agreements with Gulf countries on protection against “Shaheds.”
Additionally, recently the President of Ukraine mentioned that he sent three teams of specialists on “Shaheds” to the Middle East – to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
Zelensky also noted that the U.S. reached out to Ukraine for expert support for its military in the Middle East. Furthermore, Ukrainian teams are working with five countries to counter “Shaheds.”
