The average pension after recalculation has increased
In April, Ukraine conducted a recalculation of pensions for working pensioners. The amount of supplements ranged from 100 to 2595 hryvnias depending on the pension.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by the Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity Denis Ulyutin during a telethon.

According to the minister, the recalculation affected about 9.5 million pensioners in total. The amount of the supplement depended on the size of the pension: the minimum was 100 hryvnias, and the maximum was 2595 hryvnias.
“I want to say that after the recalculation, the average pension currently amounts to 7100 hryvnias, slightly more than this figure,” Ulyutin stated.
He added that the recalculation process was quite successful and without delays.
Recall that starting from April 1, the Pension Fund will automatically carry out the recalculation of pensions for working pensioners, choosing the most beneficial method for each. There is no need to submit applications or additional documents.
Pensions will be recalculated for:
- pensioners who, as of March 1, 2026, had at least 24 months of insurance experience since the last recalculation or appointment of the pension;
- pensioners who have not acquired 24 months of experience but have had two years since the appointment or previous recalculation of the pension.
How the pension amount will be determined
For working pensioners with at least 24 months of additional experience, the new pension amount may be calculated:
- taking into account the earnings that were already used for the previous pension calculation;
- or taking into account the earnings received after the appointment or previous recalculation of the pension.
The recalculation will be conducted under the most favorable conditions for the pensioner.
For those who do not have 24 months of additional experience but are entitled to a recalculation, it will be carried out only considering the existing insurance experience.
