She was well-known as a host, film expert, and one of those who shaped the style of Ukrainian television in the 1990s.
Television presenter and film expert Lyudmila Klepakova has died after a long illness – it was her voice that first aired on “Studio 1+1” in 1995.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a Facebook post by screenwriter and instructor at “DOC Workshop of Serhiy Bukovsky,” Victoria Bondar.

In her note, Victoria noted that Lyudmila died around 4 a.m.
According to her, the news of the presenter’s death was shared by her sister Anna Dmitruk. Bondar also wrote that in recent months she had been in daily contact with both Klepakova and her sister, who described the rapid and extremely painful progression of the illness.
She added that the television presenter passed away two days after Easter.

What is known about Lyudmila Klepakova
Lyudmila Klepakova held a special place in the history of Ukrainian television.
It was her voice that was heard on the first broadcast of the new channel on September 3, 1995.
At that time, she said the phrase that became iconic for an entire generation of viewers: “Congratulations! You are watching – ‘Studio 1+1’.”
In the second half of the 1990s, Klepakova was one of the most prominent hosts of the “1+1” channel.
She worked on the program “Empire of Cinema,” dedicated to the world of film art, and had a reputation as a deep connoisseur of this field.
Colleagues remembered her as an experienced film expert who worked for many years on television projects about cinema.

Together with Yuriy Makarov, Anna Bezulik, Mykola Veresnyak, and Olha Gerasymyuk, she helped shape the style and professional level that later became a benchmark for Ukrainian television.
In addition to her on-screen work, Lyudmila Klepakova was also involved in media expertise.
Her husband was Ukrainian film producer Yuriy Minzyanov. In the 1990s, he served as the chief editor of film programs on “1+1,” later working at the “Inter” channel, as well as in film companies Film.ua and Star Media.
In 2016, Minzyanov founded his own production company, Kristi Films. He passed away in November 2020.
Farewell to Lyudmila Klepakova will take place in Kyiv on Wednesday, April 15.
The ceremony is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at the Large Crematorium Hall, located at Baikova St., 16.
