At a young age, the artist found herself in a difficult marriage that lasted ten years.
Ukrainian singer Tonya Matvienko shared her memories of her first marriage and explained why those relationships ultimately ended in divorce.

The artist recalled that her ex-husband did not support her desire to develop in music.
According to the singer, he wanted her to stay at home and focus solely on the family and raising their child.
Tonya Matvienko became a mother very early: she got pregnant at 16 and gave birth to her daughter Ulyana at 17. Now the girl is 27 years old and lives abroad.
“I always wanted to sing. I studied at a music school, was a pianist, and sang in a choir,” shared Nina Mitrofanovna’s daughter.

She also mentioned that the age difference with her first husband was seven years, and they met through a mutual circle of acquaintances.
At the same time, the artist admitted that those relationships were difficult for her and had an abusive nature, although without physical violence.
“I was very young then and didn’t set him straight in time, meaning I didn’t show my character. I felt very guilty, embarrassed that I was such a young mom, and wanted everything to be without scandals,” she explained.
Despite the challenging period, Matvienko received support from her mother when she learned about her early pregnancy.
“I decided that I wanted to be a mom. I don’t see anything wrong with that. I have a wonderful daughter now; she is my friend. I think, why didn’t I have another child back then,” the artist added.
The marriage lasted for 10 years, but eventually, the couple separated. According to the singer, the main reason was that she no longer felt love.
“I don’t love him. For me, love is important. I should love my husband, be happy when I wake up, and go to bed with him. I fell out of love,” the performer confessed.

Tonya Matvienko met her current husband Arsen Mirzoyan on the project “Voice of the Country.”
Initially, they had only a friendly relationship, as at that time the artist had a family.
Later, Mirzoyan divorced, and in 2017, he and Matvienko officially married. The couple celebrated their wedding twice – in Thailand and in Dnipro.
The spouses are raising their daughter Nina together. Additionally, Arsen Mirzoyan has two sons from a previous marriage.
