39-year-old model Crystal Harris, who was the wife of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, has married for the second time.

How the wedding of Hefner’s widow went
The wedding of the 39-year-old model to businessman and marine biologist James Ward took place on April 2 on the island of Aitutaki, part of the Cook Islands archipelago.
The couple consciously opted out of a lavish wedding in the traditional sense and chose an intimate format.
The ceremony was held privately, with the newlyweds focusing not on the scale of the event but on the atmosphere and personal emotions.

Crystal explained that it was important for them to spend this day in the most peaceful place possible, where nothing would distract from the moment.
That is why they chose the Cook Islands – a location more than eight thousand kilometers away from the USA.
“Since the wedding was small, it allowed us to focus on the important details rather than organizing a large event. We didn’t want a grand production. We wanted something quiet and personal, where we could truly be together and be present with each other in the moment,” Harris explained.

According to the model, this region attracted them not only for its natural beauty but also for its sense of seclusion.
She emphasized that there are no large hotel chains on the islands, and the area with its lagoons and natural landscape perfectly matched how the couple envisioned the beginning of their new life stage.
For the ceremony, Harris chose a wedding dress Margo from the Ukrainian brand OKSANA MUKHA.
It is a lace fitted model with long sleeves, adorned with over 5,400 Swarovski crystals.
The brand’s website states that such a dress is available only by special order, and its price is not publicly disclosed.

Crystal herself admitted that she fell in love with the dress almost immediately.
“They sent me a message, and when I saw the dress, I fell in love with it right away. It reminded me of a Disney princess dress,” the woman noted.
After the official part, the newlyweds went for a boat ride on the lagoon.
Instead of a classic wedding cake, they opted for a dinner made from local products and desserts.
The couple’s first dance took place to the song Safe With Me by Ike Dweck. After the ceremony, the couple stayed on the islands for their honeymoon.

What is known about the couple’s relationship
As is known, the relationship between Crystal Harris and James Ward began in 2024 – they were introduced by mutual friends.
By spring 2025, the businessman proposed to his beloved in Hawaii, setting up a romantic location with an ocean view and symbolic details.
According to the couple, they did not rush to celebrate and wanted to peacefully enjoy their engagement period without turning wedding preparations into a hurry.
James Ward is the founder of the travel company SeeThrough Sea and works as a marine biologist.
It is known that he has been living in Hawaii since 2013. That is where his acquaintance with his future wife began.

In 2009, she became Playmate of the Month, and in 2012, she married Hugh Hefner. Their marriage lasted until the death of the Playboy founder in 2017.
