The family continues the challenging journey of recovery for their son
Singer MYATA admitted that her 17-year-old son, who suffered two strokes in childhood, still requires constant care. The artist also shared the difficulties the family is currently facing.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the star’s comments for the project “Alone with Glamour.”

According to the artist, her son has a first group disability and cannot be left without adult supervision.
Despite this, the family is forced to constantly undergo official procedures to repeatedly confirm the child’s obvious condition.
The singer recalled that she had already dealt with the paperwork for the Military Registration and Enlistment Office, but once Yuri turns 18, she will have to go through everything again.
“For now, he has been issued a certificate stating that he is registered. For me, this is very strange and somewhat amusing. Because this is a child with a first group disability, subgroup A. He cannot be without adult supervision,” the performer shared.

“When he turns 18, I will have to go back to the Military Registration and Enlistment Office, go through all the commissions, submit all the papers to prove that he really is unable to serve. Although he tells me he wants to become a police officer,” she added.
Currently, the boy studies at an inclusive institution and also works with educators.
MYATA admits that even things that come naturally to others remain challenging for her son.
“He is now 17 years old. He is working with teachers at an inclusive school. For me, the main goal was for him to speak and at least have some spatial awareness, but there are difficulties with that, and we are working on it. This is a lifelong effort,” the singer confessed.
The artist also spoke candidly about herself. She explained that for many years she was completely focused on her son’s problems, to the point where she stopped paying attention to her own well-being.

According to her, this led to a serious illness, the treatment of which dragged on for years.
“For some time, I invested a lot in my eldest son. And it happened that I forgot about myself. Then I became very ill myself. No one saw this because there was a beautiful picture on Instagram. For about five years, I was seriously ill and recovering from that state,” she shared.
How the illness manifested
As MYATA recounted, serious health issues for her eldest son Yuri began when he was four years old.
According to the singer, initially, after receiving the DTP vaccine, the boy experienced seizures.
At that time, the doctor assured the family that this condition would pass over time, and for a certain period, it did.
However, later, as the artist claims, after another injection, the child’s condition sharply deteriorated.

MYATA links this to further severe health consequences for her son.
After that, according to the singer, the family began searching for specialists to determine the exact cause of the boy’s condition.
After examinations and tests, doctors discovered damage to the brain.
