The singer addressed fans who want to see her at the song contest with an unexpected confession
Singer Zlata Ognevich represented Ukraine at “Eurovision” in 2013 and even made it to the top three finalists. But does she want to return to the contest again?
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, Zlata answered this question in a conversation with Alina Shamanskaya on the program “55 in 5,” which airs on “Morning in the Big City.”

Will Ognevich go to “Eurovision” for a second time
Shamanskaya noted that users on Threads are literally demanding that the singer represent Ukraine at the song contest again. However, it turned out that the star does not share this desire.
“I believe that this chapter has already been turned. It was very successful, beautiful, and there’s no need to try again,” Zlata admitted.
However, she urged Ukrainians not to hate artists who repeatedly participate in the National Selection. In this, Ognevich believes, there is nothing wrong.
“I think that ‘Eurovision’ is a contest where anyone can come and even participate ten times. So don’t judge those who constantly go to the selections and want to go, because it’s worth it,” the singer emphasized.
The star also gave advice to fans who plead with her to go to “Eurovision.” Ognevich is grateful for such attention and therefore encourages her fans to attend her performances more often.
“I am incredibly happy about this. I really ask you, come to my concerts,” the artist said.
How was Zlata Ognevich’s performance at “Eurovision”
The singer represented Ukraine with the song “Gravity.” The impressive performance and strong song earned Zlata and our country third place. In the final, she was surpassed by Denmark and Azerbaijan.
Ognevich’s song gathered millions of listens. It even made it into international charts. On the official YouTube channel of “Eurovision,” Zlata’s performance has been viewed over 3.5 million times.
The singer admitted that she faced an unforeseen situation at the contest. Her performance was threatened due to the organizers.
“I am not completely satisfied with my performance at ‘Eurovision.’ I am happy with my place, happy with the result, but then our numbers that we prepared were blocked on-site… We were told that it was impossible, even though they gave guarantees: yes, prepare, everything was approved. We arrive in Malmö, and we were told that nothing would happen,” the star recalled.
