What is known about the scandal at the Ukraine Palace
The altercation became public after the artist’s wife and concert director, Yekaterina Rep’yakhova, claimed psychological pressure and humiliation during the performance on March 21.
According to her, the concert was unexpectedly halted allegedly due to Pavlik’s vocal issues.
The organizers wanted to inject the artist with adrenaline, which Yekaterina disagreed with. The singer himself assured that he was “in working shape and sang confidently.”
Later, Rep’yakhova released a video where rude remarks from the artistic director of the institution, Sergey Perman, can be heard. In one such instance, he refers to the singer’s wife in Russian as a “non-professional woman,” suggests she “should perform her duties at home,” and threatens to remove her from the building.

In light of the released videos, Perman labeled the couple as “professional provocateurs” and urged others to avoid contact with them.
What do the stars say about the scandal with Pavlik and the Ukraine Palace
Pavel Zibrov, who couldn’t hold back tears during his friend’s concert, supported the family and expressed understanding regarding the reluctance to administer adrenaline.
“As a vocalist, I didn’t hear anything that could have disturbed or warranted an intermission. Yes, the first two songs are always a warm-up, but after that, everything went smoothly. So, for me, the situation with the intermission was also unexpected,” Zibrov noted.
“I fully understand your team’s and your wife’s warnings regarding the injection. In your case, health is the absolute priority, and there can be no compromises here. And speaking not just about the concert, which was indeed magnificent, but about human matters – no one has the right to use such a tone and such words,” he added.

Musician Yevhen Khmara sharply criticized Perman’s behavior.
“To communicate like that with a woman… An official representative of a state institution… in Russian? I’m curious to hear the authorities’ position. This is a disgrace,” he wrote.

However, Alexey Sukhanov had a different opinion. In a comment under Perman’s post, he expressed his support.
“Even a legend should maintain critical thinking despite love and marital statuses! This scandal is only about who initiated it! Sergey, hang in there! Strength!” he wrote.

Also defending the organizers was Anna Zaval’skaya, who knows the situation “from the words of people who created the concert.” She attempted to present a different version of events.
“Behind the scenes after the conflict, the behavior of the people’s artist’s wife looked less like a ‘struggle for dignity’ and more like a deliberate provocation. From her side, there was a systematic escalation of relationships with the team during the preparation – emotional pressure, an ultimatum tone, and creating conflict where everyone was working towards a high result,” Zaval’skaya stated.
“Isn’t it obvious: when someone doesn’t stabilize the situation in a critical moment but instead shakes it up even more, that’s no longer self-defense. It’s something entirely different. It’s when personal ambitions become more important than the overall result, and the conflict turns into a tool,” she added.

The scandal also caught the attention of journalist Alina Dorotyuk, who pointed out an important and indicative factor in the behavior of the artistic director of the Ukraine Palace.
“We see absolutely unprofessional behavior from the head of a major state institution in the capital of a country that is fighting for its rightful place in civilized society and for the language in particular. Instead of the expected apologies, there are more accusations in the usual manner, with personal attacks. Where the People’s Artist of Ukraine is already referred to as a ‘floor rag’,” she noted.
