The actor known for his role as Xander Harris has died suddenly at the age of 54.
The world of cinema has been shaken by another tragedy. American actor Nicholas Brendon, famous for the series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” has passed away. He was 54 years old.

With great sadness, his loved ones announced that the actor died in his sleep of natural causes.
The statement noted that Brendon was not only a talented actor but also a creative individual who had recently taken up painting and art.
“Nicky loved to share his talent with family, friends, and fans. He was passionate, responsive, and possessed endless creative energy,” the message said.
Brendon’s life was not without its challenges—over the years, he openly spoke about struggles with addiction and mental health. According to his family, he had recently been undergoing treatment and was looking to the future with optimism.
“It is no secret that Nicholas had difficult times in the past; he was on medication and undergoing treatment to manage his diagnosis, and at the time of his death, he was looking to the future with optimism,” they reported.
They also thanked fans for their support during this difficult time.
“We mourn him and honor the memory of a man who lived with passion, imagination, and sincerity. Thank you to everyone who showed love and support,” his family shared.
Biography of Nicholas Brendon
The actor was born on April 12, 1971, in Los Angeles. His real name is Nicholas Brendon Schulz.
He grew up with his twin brother Kelly Donovan, who later also appeared with him on screen in “Buffy.”
As a child, he dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player but abandoned that idea and chose acting, particularly to overcome his stutter.
He began his career with small jobs and auditions until, at the age of 25, he landed the breakthrough role of Xander Harris. He played this character for seven seasons (1997-2003) and appeared in almost every episode. For this role, he was nominated for a Saturn Award.

After the success of the series, Brendon continued to act in film and television. In particular, he starred in the series “Criminal Minds” and appeared in the films “Beach Psycho,” “Redwood,” “The Babysitter,” and others.
At the same time, his life was marked by difficulties. The actor openly spoke about his struggles with depression, alcohol addiction, and legal issues. In the 2010s, he was involved in several scandals and underwent treatment.
Additionally, in 2023, he revealed that he had suffered a heart attack and had a congenital heart defect. He also suffered from a serious spinal condition, which led to several surgeries.
