Recently, information emerged online about Victoria Kuznetsova, a participant in the 16th season of “MasterChef,” who has been accused of evading military service for the sake of filming the television project. In response to the public outcry, the command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made a statement.

What the Air Forces said about Kuznetsova
According to the statement, the participant of the culinary project is serving in the 15th brigade of transport aviation.
They noted that during the filming period of the show, from May to August 2025, she was officially undergoing treatment at a military hospital in the city of Dnipro.
“Throughout this period, the officer continued to receive financial support, as required,” the brigade added.
They initiated a service investigation regarding the actions of the serviceman after the release of the first promotional video for “MasterChef.”
“The materials indicate that the serviceman indeed actively participated in the filming of the television show in the city of Kyiv while undergoing treatment at the hospital in Dnipro,” the message stated.
They also noted that Victoria did not inform the military leadership about her participation in the established manner.
It is noteworthy that after the information about the opening of the case and investigation surfaced, the participant restricted access to her Instagram page.

Details of the scandal
Recall that earlier it became known about a criminal case against a navigator of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who allegedly sought treatment in 2025 to evade military service.
It is known that from April 14 to August 16, 2025, she was undergoing inpatient treatment. And from April 22 to August 11, she was in the capital and the region filming the “MasterChef” project.
If Victoria’s guilt is proven, she faces 5 to 10 years of imprisonment under part 4 of Article 409 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
She hails from the city of Kolomyia in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. On the project’s website, she was introduced as a former military officer who served as a navigator.
