The family spends the most money on housing and their son’s education
Ukrainian TV presenter Vasilisa Frolova candidly shared how much it costs to live for her family in the United Arab Emirates.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing an interview with the star for OBOZ.UA.

The star moved abroad with her husband even before the full-scale invasion and later adapted to the new conditions, learning to plan expenses wisely.
However, despite this, the family’s monthly budget remains significant.
According to the presenter, for a comfortable life, she, her husband, and their son need between $7,000 and $10,000 a month.
The majority of the funds, Frolova admits, go towards housing and their child’s education.
“We have already settled in and learned to save. I know where to buy cheaper buckwheat. But still, for a family of three like us, we need about $7,000 to $10,000 (from 360,000 to 438,000 hryvnias) a month. The biggest expenses go to rent and education for our son. Clothing? I feel like I hardly buy anything here,” the presenter shared.

Vasilisa also does not hide the fact that the family has long spent their savings. The financial situation is now challenging for them, as their sources of income have significantly declined.
The presenter’s husband works in the event industry, but this sector has effectively come to a standstill.
Vasilisa herself was previously associated with an international event agency and now wants to return to the communications field.
Due to the instability in the job market, the presenter, according to her, is forced to seek various earning opportunities and does not shy away from temporary projects or side jobs.
“I worked in an international event agency with Ukrainian roots. Now I really hope to return to work in communications – that’s what I know and love. My husband also has a company in the event sector, but, of course, this area is currently on pause. Events are not being held; everything has come to a halt. So, to be honest, the issue of earning is very painful right now,” the presenter admitted.

“We are waiting to see how the situation changes and when this sector can come back to life. Financial cushion? It has long been gone. So I am constantly searching – grabbing any opportunities, side jobs, projects,” she added.
By the way, in Dubai, Frolova settled with her son and husband, producer Dmitry Kotelentsev.
Last winter, the couple officially legalized their relationship. Previously, the TV presenter also mentioned that in 2022 her husband worked on projects for Warner Brothers.

At one point, the celebrity was an ambassador for the Ukrainian restaurant YoY in Dubai, but the collaboration later ended.
Despite living abroad, the TV presenter does not hide that she misses Ukraine. She dreams of returning home, although she is not yet ready to specify when that will happen.
