How to receive a one-time cash assistance through a postal worker or at a post office?

Today, April 8, Ukraine has begun disbursing a one-time cash assistance of 1,500 hryvnias for certain categories of citizens. The funds are credited automatically and do not require the submission of applications.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a message from “Ukrposhta”.

How to receive funds through “Ukrposhta”

The algorithm for receiving is maximally simplified no applications need to be written, nor do you need to submit requests through the “Diia” app. The payment is credited automatically.

Citizens who receive pensions or social assistance through “Ukrposhta” will have the funds delivered by a postal worker or they will be issued directly at the post office along with the main payments.

Who is eligible for assistance

The one-time payment of 1,500 hryvnias is intended for the most vulnerable segments of the population. The list of recipients includes:

  • pensioners and people with disabilities;
  • low-income and large families;
  • internally displaced persons (IDPs);
  • single mothers and recipients of basic social assistance.

The assistance is credited provided that the total amount of monthly payments to the individual (including all allowances) does not exceed 25,950 hryvnias.

Beneficiary categories without income restrictions

At the same time, certain categories of citizens will receive state support regardless of their income level. This includes:

  • individuals who directly participated in the defense of Ukraine;
  • family members of deceased, dead, or missing defenders;
  • participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster.

It is important to remember: if a person falls under several categories simultaneously, the payment is made only once.
