“As part of Employment Week, we continue to talk about the new employment policy,” the Prime Minister wrote.
She explained that the government has decided to launch an experimental project. Its goals are:
- to strengthen the connection between vocational training and specific employer demands;
- to help enterprises in the defense industry and other priority sectors to quickly prepare the necessary specialists according to their requests.
“The dynamic defense production sector and other priority industries, such as energy, need qualified specialists who enhance our ability to increase domestic production,” the head of government noted.
What forms of support are provided by the project
Svyrydenko reminded that there is already a tool for supporting education through vouchers and retraining in Ukraine.
Now, the government is strengthening the link between state support and specific employer demands.
Two forms of support are proposed:
- a grant for individuals;
- compensation for employers who invest in workforce training.
“The program is funded by the Unemployment Insurance Fund,” the Prime Minister clarified.
Who, for what, and how much money can be received
According to the information from the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, in 2026, such state support will amount to:
- up to 30,000 hryvnias for obtaining a full professional qualification;
- up to 15,000 hryvnias for partial qualification.
“The same maximum amounts will apply for compensating employers for employee training expenses,” Svyrydenko reported.
