The dollar and euro are declining after the weekend: exchange rates in exchange offices and banks on April 6.

What are the current exchange rates in banks and exchange offices, and where is it cheaper to buy?

After the weekend, the cash market in Ukraine is witnessing a strengthening of the national currency. The exchange rates for the dollar and euro in exchange offices and bank counters have decreased compared to last Friday’s figures.

RBC-Ukraine provides the latest currency rates as of April 6 and explains where it is more advantageous to buy dollars and euros.

Currency rates in exchange offices

After the weekend, there is a trend of decreasing foreign currency prices in the cash market.

As of Monday morning, April 6, according to the Minfin portal, the average dollar rate in exchange offices has dropped to 43.65 UAH (-5 kopecks) for sales and to 43.50 UAH (-8 kopecks) for purchases compared to Friday.

The euro is similarly losing value. Today, the euro can be purchased for 50.69 UAH, which is 1 kopeck cheaper than at the end of last week. For selling euros, exchange offices are offering a rate of 50.43 UAH (-6 kopecks).

Rates in banks

In Ukrainian banks, the beginning of the workweek also shows a decrease in currency prices.

As of Monday morning, April 6, the average purchase price for the dollar is 44.00 UAH (-5 kopecks), while the selling rate for American currency is 43.50 UAH (-5 kopecks).

The euro has not been an exception and has also decreased in price compared to last Friday. Today, the euro in banks can be bought for 50.95 UAH (-5 kopecks), while the acceptance rate at counters is 50.20 UAH (-15 kopecks).

What are the rates in popular banks and where is it cheaper to buy currency:

PrivatBank. In branches, the dollar is priced at 43.90 UAH, while buying “on card” is slightly more expensive at 44.05 UAH. The situation is reversed for the euro: in counters, it is 50.80 UAH, while for cashless transactions, the rate is more favorable at 50.76 UAH.

Oschadbank. Here, the dollar is held at an equal rate of 44.00 UAH in branches, while the card rate is 44.10 UAH. The most advantageous currency purchase is in the mobile “Oschad” app, where it is sold for 43.95 UAH.

“PUMB”. In the bank’s counters, the dollar is given at 43.90 UAH, but online purchases are significantly cheaper at only 43.70 UAH. The euro rate in branches today is 50.80 UAH, while for cashless transactions, it is exactly 50.60 UAH.

Monobank: the selling rate for the dollar is set at 43.95 UAH, while the euro can be purchased for 50.75 UAH.
