Ukrainian gymnast collects an unprecedented number of gold medals in all program events

At the first stage of the World Cup in the new season, the leader of the Ukrainian rhythmic gymnastics team, Taisia Onofriychuk, demonstrated phenomenal dominance, setting a personal record for the number of gold medals won.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the official website of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).

Solo show in Sofia

The start of the world season in Sofia, Bulgaria, turned into a true solo show for the 17-year-old Ukrainian.

Taisia showcased perfect preparation, winning not only in the most prestigious all-around competition but also collecting a record number of medals in individual events.

How the Ukrainian performed in the finals

In the finals of individual exercises, the Ukrainian gymnast continued to dominate.

Ball – 29.000 points (1st place). Onofriychuk outperformed Bulgarian Stilyana Nikolova by just 0.1 points, leaving Italian Sofia Raffaeli in third place.

Hoop – 30.400 points (1st place). The Ukrainian achieved the highest score in the final, receiving 14.000 points for difficulty – the best result among all participants.

Ribbon – 29.200 points (1st place). She surpassed her closest competitor, “neutral” Belarusian Alina Hornoisko, by a mere 0.050 points.

Clubs – 28.700 points (5th place). The victory went to Bulgarian Eva Brealeva with a score of 29.650 points, while the “silver” was awarded to Italian Sofia Raffaeli (29.500 points).

Taisia’s new record

Three victories in the finals of individual exercises, along with a triumph in the all-around, brought Onofriychuk four gold medals at a single stage of the World Cup. This became a new personal record for the athlete.

Previously, the maximum for the Ukrainian was three golds, which she achieved at the World Cup stage in Sofia last season.
