The GUR is actively fighting against the “shadow fleet” of Russians
The GUR reported on more than fifty Russian vessels that assist the RF in exporting oil and other energy resources.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“The GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine publishes a list of 51 vessels in the ‘Maritime Vessels’ section of the War&Sanctions portal, which the aggressor uses as a resource to fill its military treasury with oil dollars and continue its aggression against Ukraine,” the intelligence agency noted.
It is noted that the update includes oil tankers that facilitate the maritime export of Russian oil and petroleum products, as well as cargo ships that cooperate with the aggressor and enter closed ports in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine – particularly in Mariupol and Kerch.
Russia systematically uses maritime logistics not only for the export of energy resources but also for the removal of stolen Ukrainian resources – grain, ore, coal. At the same time, the aggressor state is trying to integrate the occupied territories into its own economic system by opening Ukrainian ports to foreign vessels.
It is known that to cover such activities, Russia employs schemes using vessels under the flags of third countries, particularly those that officially support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The key link in this logistics remains the ship captains, who possess complete information about the origin and nature of the cargo, as well as the routes taken.
The fight against the RF’s “shadow fleet”
Recall that recently at least eight sanctioned oil tankers moved through the English Channel despite the British government’s announcement of a fight against the “shadow fleet.”
We also reported that a new package of sanctions against the RF, being prepared by the EU, is intended to block the Russian “shadow fleet,” which allows Moscow to generate income from oil.
Additionally, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine announced plans by the Kremlin to increase the number of oil tankers sailing under the Russian flag.
