On the second day of the ceasefire between Iran and the USA, an ally of America is under attack

On the evening of April 9, Kuwait announced that it was repelling attacks from “hostile drones.” The statement came against the backdrop of a ceasefire between Iran and the USA, declared on April 8.

According to RBC-Ukraine, this was reported by the Times of Kuwait.

In particular, the Ministry of Defense of Kuwait confirmed on the evening of April 9 that the air defense is currently “responding to hostile drones” that have entered the country’s territory.

Details are still unclear, although a ministry representative has already stated that the drone attacks were aimed at “some vital facilities.” The ownership of the “hostile drones” mentioned in the release has not yet been disclosed.

The Armed Forces of Kuwait continue to maintain a high level of readiness in case of the need to repel new attacks, as previously reported in press releases from the country’s Ministry of Defense. Since the beginning of the operation against Iran, a total of 793 Iranian missiles and drones have been intercepted over Kuwait.

It is worth noting that on the night of April 8, the United States decided to postpone strikes against Iran and agreed to a two-week ceasefire. One of the conditions was that Iran promised to temporarily open the Strait of Hormuz for navigation.

However, despite all agreements, Iran struck at the allies of the United States just hours after the announcement of the two-week ceasefire. On the evening of April 8, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia reported shelling of their territory.
