Round-the-Clock Trolling: Ukraine Epicly Responds to the Daily Absurdity of the Hungarian Government

A brilliant way to “silence” the propaganda of Orbán’s team

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has launched “Hungarian Radio Ukraine,” as it is tired of responding daily to the “absurd statements” from Budapest regarding Kyiv.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement from Foreign Ministry spokesperson Georgiy Tikhiy.

He explained that the Ukrainian ministry is “tired of responding” to Hungary’s statements and has come up with a way to communicate its position around the clock.

“Every day, Hungarian officials make absurd statements about Ukraine. We are tired of reacting to each of them and decided to publish our position online in the form of a radio station available 24/7. We named it ‘Hungarian Radio Ukraine,'” he said.

What is being broadcast

The station broadcasts that Kyiv rejects the manipulations regarding Ukraine that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his team regularly engage in.

Additionally, it condemns Orbán’s “consistent attempts” to drag Ukraine into his internal politics or electoral campaign.

“Ukraine has never wished and does not wish harm to neighboring Hungary. We ask all Hungarians not to trust the toxic anti-Ukrainian propaganda that daily comes from officials. We are destined to be good neighbors, members of the EU and NATO, not part of the ‘Russian world.’ Thank you for listening to ‘Hungarian Radio Ukraine,'” the broadcast states.

Recall that Hungary continues to block the provision of a loan to Ukraine from the EU. Recently, Orbán stated that he would not lift the veto until Ukraine resumes the supply of Russian oil.

EU members are outraged by Orbán’s behavior. For example, Sweden has openly stated its readiness to consider Article 7 of the EU Treaty – a mechanism to deprive Hungary of its voting rights.

Furthermore, the President of the European Council, António Costa, called the behavior of the Hungarian Prime Minister “unacceptable.” However, despite the criticism, there are those who have come to Orbán’s defense.

It is worth noting that recently Orbán compared the current “resistance to pressure from Ukraine and Brussels” to the overthrow of communist rule in Hungary.

Also, the pro-Russian Prime Minister of Hungary was unexpectedly booed at a rally in the city of Győr. In response, Orbán threw a fit and accused those present of “working for Ukraine.”
