Confident start in the national team

For 25-year-old Oleksandra Oleinikova, the call-up to the national team for the match against Poland was the first of her career.

Although the fate of the ticket to the final part of the tournament was decided early thanks to the efforts of the Kichenok sisters, the debutant demonstrated a high level of concentration and sporting motivation.

The match against 21-year-old Linda Klimovichova had no tournament significance, as the overall score in the confrontation was already 3:0 in favor of the Ukrainians.

However, for Oleinikova, this meeting was an opportunity to prove her ability to represent her country on the international stage.

Course of the match: from equal struggle to total dominance

The first set was marked by uncompromising competition. The opponents went “game for game” until the score reached 4:4, after which Oleksandra managed to seize the initiative.

A key break allowed the Ukrainian to take the lead and close the set in her favor – 6:4.

In the second set, the psychological advantage completely shifted to Oleinikova. She demonstrated aggressive tennis that the Polish player could not handle.

Giving her opponent only one game, the Ukrainian finished the match with a convincing victory.

Thanks to this success, the Ukrainian team completed the qualifying stage with a crushing score of 4:0, confirming their status as favorites in the match against the Polish team and guaranteeing themselves a place in the next round of the competition.
