The date when it will finally warm up in Ukraine has been announced
Ukrainians will meet Easter with cold weather. However, warming is already on the horizon.
This was stated in a comment to RBC-Ukraine by Vitaliy Postryhan, head of the Cherkasy Regional Hydrometeorological Center.

Main points
- Peak of cold – April 10-11: nighttime frosts of 0-3°C, during the day only 4-9° warmth, with wet snow in some areas
- On Easter, April 12: daytime temperatures of 7-12° warmth, nighttime frosts will persist, with light rain in some areas
- Warming – from the beginning of Easter week: temperatures will gradually rise to mid-spring values
- The “Rapunzel” cyclone will keep the cold on Saturday, while the “Quirin” anticyclone will bring clearer skies on Sunday.
It will remain cold during the holidays – nighttime frosts and wet snow are expected during the day. But starting next week, temperatures will gradually begin to rise to mid-spring values.
The peak of cold is already passing
“Yesterday and today, April 10-11, mark the peak of the cold. There remains a high probability of frosts in the air of 0-3°,” said Postryhan.
Today, dense clouds from the “Rapunzel” cyclone will prevent the sun from warming the ex-Arctic air, and temperatures will be low, only 4-9° warmth.
“There will be rain at times, and in some areas, even wet snow is possible,” Postryhan noted.

What to expect on Easter, April 12
“On April 12, on Bright Easter Sunday, the influence of the northern anticyclone “Quirin” will lead to more clear skies and a weakening of the wind. Under these conditions, the relevance of frosts of 0-3° will remain,” the meteorologist noted.
During the day, it will become somewhat more comfortable and warmer – 7-12° warmth. Light rain will fall in some areas.
When will spring warmth return
Starting next week, it will gradually warm up in Ukraine.
“The atmosphere is already restructuring – starting next week, temperatures will begin to rise, but this process will be gradual. Thus, we expect the return of warmth at the beginning of Easter week,” Postryhan concluded.
The temperature background will gradually start to level out and return to more typical mid-spring values.
As RBC-Ukraine reported, meteorologist Natalia Didenko also warned about cold weekends.
On Easter night, temperatures are expected to be +2+5°C, while during the day on Sunday, a modest warming to +7+11°C is anticipated, and up to +14°C in the Left Bank region.
It should be noted that meteorologist Natalia Ptukha also confirmed that there will not be a significant warming on Easter.
However, from Monday-Tuesday, the situation will start to change – more clear skies, less precipitation, and temperatures of 11-16°C across Ukraine.
