The new head of customs has experience working in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and NABU
The new head of the State Customs Service is Orest Mandziy, as proposed by the Minister of Finance.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel of Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

“The government has appointed Orest Mandziy as the chairman of the State Customs Service. The corresponding proposal was submitted by Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko following an open competition,” Svyrydenko noted.
According to her, the Cabinet expects the new leader to continue the reform of the customs service, forming a modern, transparent, and effective customs system that works to ensure the financial stability of the state.
“We count on consistent work to implement these changes and further strengthen the institutional capacity of the customs service,” the Prime Minister added.
What is known about Orest Mandziy
It should be noted that Orest Mandziy, before his appointment as head of customs, was the head of one of the departments of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
From 2001 to 2017, he held various positions within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, particularly in the Lychakiv and Frankivsk district departments in Lviv, regional departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Lviv and Rivne regions, the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the National Police of Ukraine, and so on.
Earlier, the government approved a medium-term action plan for implementing customs reform – one of the key areas in the National Revenue Strategy until 2030.
