The temperature in Ukraine will continue to be influenced by a cold air mass, but spring is not giving up
Ukraine is still under the grip of a cyclone that has brought a sharp drop in temperature and precipitation. However, tomorrow afternoon, some regions will still feel the breath of warmth.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a publication from the press service of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center on Facebook.

Why the weather will not improve tomorrow
According to the forecast from specialists at UkrHMC for April 9, the synoptic situation in Ukraine will not improve.
“The cold, uncomfortable weather will continue to be determined by the cyclone, the center of which will be located to the northeast of our territory,” the experts explained to Ukrainians.
It is specified that this situation will result in:
- cloudy weather with clearings;
- in some areas – light rain and wet snow.
Additionally, throughout tomorrow:
- pressure will drop;
- humidity will remain high;
- strong winds from the north will add to the feeling of discomfort.
In the eastern part of the country – at night and in the morning – there will be areas of fog.
Where will it be warmest in Ukraine on April 9
UkrHMC meteorologists reported that the temperature regime in Ukraine tomorrow will still be determined by the “cold air mass at heights.”
As a result, the air temperature across Ukraine is expected to average between 1-6 degrees Celsius at night.
At the same time, specialists warn of frosts of 0-3°C:
- on the surface of the soil – across the country;
- in the air – in the eastern, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia regions.
Meanwhile, daytime maximums will reach +3…+8°C across Ukraine.
The warmest weather during the day will be in the south and east of the country – up to +11°C.

What will happen with the weather in Kyiv and the region
In the territory of the capital and Kyiv region, the weather on April 9 is also expected to be cloudy, with clearings.
The possibility of light rain remains. At night – with wet snow.
The wind is forecasted to be northern, with a speed of 5-10 m/s.

Residents and guests of the capital region are also warned about dangerous meteorological phenomena – frosts on the surface of the soil.
Thus, the air temperature at night is expected to be:
- in Kyiv – from 1 to 3 degrees Celsius (on the surface of the soil – frosts of 0-2°C);
- in the region – from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius (on the surface of the soil – frosts of 0-3°C).
At the same time, the air temperature during the day may be as follows:
- in Kyiv – around 5-7 degrees Celsius.
- in the region – around 3-8 degrees Celsius.
“I level of danger, yellow,” the UkrHMC specified.
It is also reported that “frosts will harm early-flowering fruit trees.”
