Cold and precipitation are sweeping across the country
Today, April 7, a cold atmospheric front has arrived in Ukraine, which will sharply change the weather. Rain, a drop in temperature, and nighttime frosts are expected.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing meteorologist Natalia Didenko on Telegram.

According to her, most of the country will be behind the cold front today: daytime temperatures will drop to +6 to +9 degrees.
In the south and east, it will still be warmer, from +9 to +13 degrees, but by tomorrow, April 8, the cold will reach these regions as well.
April 7 will see predominantly wet weather with periodic rain, and tomorrow even wet snow is possible.
“Attention! During the night hours, frosts are possible in the west, north, and in some central regions!” Didenko warned.
Additionally, a strong northwestern wind will be an uncomfortable weather component, with gusts reaching storm levels of 15-20 m/s in some areas tomorrow.

The capital is expected to experience a drop in temperature to +7 to +9 degrees today, with occasional rain and strong northwestern winds.

What’s next for the weather
According to Didenko’s forecast, after the cold snap, warming will arrive in Ukraine – “approximately from April 14-15.”
Weather in April
Just yesterday, April 6, a storm with hail, strong wind gusts, and damaged roofs raged in western Ukraine. The most affected were the Volyn, Rivne, and Lviv regions.
Videos and photos of the aftermath of the storm were actively shared on social media: in Lutsk, streets were buried in hail, and in some areas, gusty winds tore down greenhouses.
The village of Khinochi in Rivne region was particularly hard hit, where a strong gust of wind ripped the roof off the local school.
Due to adverse weather conditions, a storm warning has been issued in Kyiv and the surrounding area, and the national flag has been lowered.
Earlier, meteorologists warned of a sharp change in weather conditions and indicated when warmth would return to Ukraine.
