21-year-old actor shared his thoughts on his star father’s engagement
The son of Ukrainian actor Vyacheslav Dovzhenko, Ivan, shared details about his communication with his father following the news of the engagement. He admitted how he feels about his father’s personal life and how often he sees the actor.

What Dovzhenko’s son said about his relationship with his fiancée
Ivan, who played the lead role in the film “Mavka. The Real Myth,” is the son of the actor from his marriage to Ksenia Basha.
He honestly admitted that he rarely sees his dad and his fiancée, Svetlana, who is nearly 20 years younger than the actor.
At the same time, he assured that their relationship is going well.
“It’s going fine. They have their own life. I just don’t visit dad often; we see each other very rarely,” he confessed.
According to the young actor, both he and his father are constantly busy, but when they meet, they are all polite.
“Sometimes I’m at university or working, and he is busy. When we see each other, everything is fine: ‘Good day, good day.’ And that’s it,” he shared.

What Dovzhenko’s fiancée said about her relationship with his children
Previously, the costume designer admitted that she was nervous before meeting the actor’s sons. However, everything turned out positively. There was no tension or distance.
With the younger son, Vasily, she managed to build a light and friendly relationship. He accepted his father’s beloved well. According to her, there was no wariness or coldness.
She sees the older son Ivan rarely, as he has his own life. At the same time, Svetlana emphasized that she does not intend to be a stepmother, only a friend.

Vyacheslav himself noted in an interview with RBC-Ukraine that friendly relations have developed within the family. At the same time, the question of acceptance of his beloved by others was not a determining factor for him.
“They accepted it well. The question is not how they perceive it. They are already adults. The question is how I perceive it. This is my life. But everything is good,” he stated.
Recall that the actor announced his engagement at the end of February. They plan to hold the wedding ceremony this summer among close friends and family.
