The State Statistics Service has published fresh data on salaries for February
The average salary in Ukraine at the end of February 2026 has increased. The gap between the highest and lowest payments across industries exceeds 60,000 hryvnias.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on Facebook.

According to the State Statistics Service, the average salary in February across Ukraine rose by 1.2% compared to January, amounting to 28,321 hryvnias.
Regional Leaders and Outsiders
Traditionally, a high level of wages is recorded in the capital. In Kyiv, the average salary is 45,651 hryvnias. The Kyiv region ranks second with an indicator of 29,077 hryvnias.
The lowest incomes are received by residents of Kirovohrad (20,083 hryvnias) and Chernivtsi (20,460 hryvnias) regions.
Where the Highest Payments Are Made: Industry Rankings
There is a significant difference in wages depending on the type of economic activity. The information and telecommunications sector remains the most profitable for workers.
Salary rankings by industry:
- information and telecommunications: 78,941 hryvnias (the highest figure);
- arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation: 18,681 hryvnias (the lowest figure).
The State Statistics Service added that as of March 1, 2026, the total debt for wage payments in Ukraine amounted to 3.5 million hryvnias.
How Salaries Are Growing in Ukraine
Recall that according to OLX Work data, as of February 2026, there has been a significant increase in salaries in working industries in Ukraine, with growth in some areas reaching 40% over the year.
High incomes are offered in the fields of auto services, construction, logistics, and manufacturing.
The absolute leaders in terms of payment levels remain dentists with a median salary of 150,000 hryvnias.
