The euro lost up to 30 kopecks in a day, while the dollar shows a more restrained decline.
The hryvnia is gaining strength: the dollar is slowly depreciating, and the euro has sharply fallen. Banks and exchange offices are synchronously lowering rates, while online currency purchases remain more profitable.

Main points:
- The hryvnia is strengthening: the national currency continues to strengthen against the dollar and euro in the cash market.
- Dollar in exchange offices: the purchase rate has fallen to 43.90 UAH (-5 kopecks), while the selling rate is 43.77 UAH (-3 kopecks).
- Rapid decline of the euro: the European currency has lost the most in exchange offices – 25 kopecks on purchase (50.75 UAH) and 30 kopecks on sale (50.50 UAH).
- Banking sector: the dollar in cash desks is averaging 44.09 UAH (-6 kopecks), while the euro has decreased by 10-15 kopecks (to 50.90 UAH on purchase).
- Profitable online rates: major banks (PrivatBank, Oschadbank, “PUMB”, Monobank) offer to buy currency in apps cheaper than in physical branches – the online dollar rate starts from 43.90-44.05 UAH.
Exchange rate in exchange offices
As of the morning of March 31, there is further strengthening of the national currency in the cash market of Ukraine. Major foreign currencies are showing a decrease in value.
According to the Minfin portal, the average rate in exchange offices has changed compared to the morning of March 30.

The American currency continues its gradual decline. The dollar has decreased in sale to 43.90 UAH (-5 kopecks), while it can be sold for 43.77 UAH (-3 kopecks).
The euro is showing a more significant drop. Over the day, the rate has decreased by 25 kopecks on purchase and 30 kopecks on sale. As of today, the European currency can be purchased on average for 50.75 UAH, and sold for 50.50 UAH.
Rate in banks
The banking sector has also reacted to market changes. The situation with cash dollars remains relatively stable, while the euro is depreciating in sync with exchange offices.
In bank cash desks, the purchase rate of the dollar has slightly decreased, while the acceptance rate has remained at the previous day’s level. Specifically, currency can be purchased for 44.09 UAH (-6 kopecks) and sold for 43.60 UAH.
As for the euro, more noticeable changes have been recorded in banks. The average rate is 50.90 UAH (-10 kopecks) on purchase and 50.20 UAH (-15 kopecks) on sale.
Among major banks:
- PrivatBank sells the dollar in branches for 44.10 UAH, for card transactions – for 44.05 UAH. The euro can be purchased for 50.75 UAH in cash desks and 50.76 UAH for cashless transactions.
- Oschadbank has set the dollar rate for cards at 44.20 UAH, in the mobile app – 44.00 UAH. The euro costs 51.10 UAH cashless, and 50.90 UAH in the app.
- “PUMB” sells the dollar in branches for 44.10 UAH, online – for 43.90 UAH. The euro is 50.90 UAH in cash desks and 50.70 UAH in the app.
- Monobank offers the dollar for 44.05 UAH, the euro for 50.75 UAH.
