Ukrainian singer David Axelrod, who has recently been almost absent from the public eye due to his service in the National Guard of Ukraine, candidly shared his thoughts on his relationship with the late Nikolai Mozgovoy – the father of his wife Elena Mozgova.

Axelrod admitted that his communication with Nikolai Petrovich was not lengthy, but even that brief acquaintance made a strong impression on him.

“A cool, stocky guy, just – a mountain, it was felt literally physically. We didn’t have long conversations, but even that short period of acquaintance left a very strong impression. He was just a rock – a person whose scale is felt without unnecessary words,” the singer said.

At the same time, the artist declined to comment on the legendary performer’s relationship with his former son-in-law – singer Alexander Ponomarev, noting that he does not consider it appropriate.

“Let’s not delve into this. I don’t want to comment on something that doesn’t concern me directly – that’s their story,” David emphasized.

Instead, he focused on his own memories and confessed that he regretted having little time to communicate with Mozgovoy.

“Regarding my communication with Nikolai Petrovich – honestly, I regret that it was so little. I would have liked more. But even those personal conversations we had at the beginning, when we just got to know each other, were very memorable. He knew how to speak simply, but meaningfully,” he added.
