Zelensky Named the Key to Reliable Security Guarantees
Ukraine is preparing an updated document on security guarantees that should ensure reliable protection against renewed Russian aggression and a real prospect for post-war recovery.
This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, as reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing his official Telegram channel.

Details of Negotiations with Partners
The head of state reported on detailed negotiations with representatives of U.S. President Donald Trump’s team – Steve Whitcoff and Jared Kushner. Senator Lindsey Graham and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also joined the discussions.
According to the president, the conversation was positive and focused on strengthening diplomacy, possible steps towards achieving peace, and involving European countries in the security process.
Zelensky noted that documents on security guarantees must be as relevant as possible in the context of modern global challenges.
“Ukraine must receive reliable security, and this is the main task. The key is how and what we all talk about together with Russia. So that Ukrainians clearly understand how partners will respond in the event of renewed Russian aggression and what, in fact, will deter Russia from aggression,” emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.
He added that the common position with partners should be based on strong decisions and the right compromises, which Ukraine is currently actively working on with the United States.

He added that the parties agreed on maintaining constant contact in the coming days to strengthen the joint document between Ukraine and the United States.
“I am grateful to everyone for their work in finding the right solutions, and Ukraine appreciates all of America’s efforts aimed at establishing a dignified peace. This is what can pave the way for a reliable end to the war,” the president concluded.
The Situation Regarding Security Guarantees
Recall that recently Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia has issued a new ultimatum. Moscow demands that Ukrainian forces leave the territory of Donbas within two months.
The president also criticized Donald Trump’s peace initiatives. According to Zelensky, Trump’s team is ready to pressure Ukraine, demanding territorial concessions for a quick end to the war, which is a key flaw in their plan.
Furthermore, it was previously reported that the U.S. is willing to provide Ukraine with real security guarantees only after the cessation of hostilities. Currently, the American side links this issue to the condition of the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
