Semyon Gorov revealed when and where it happened
Ukrainian director Semyon Gorov, who became famous in the 2000s for his music videos and New Year’s musicals, shared for the first time how he suffered a heart attack.

Gorov spoke about his heart problems
“Do you have a disability due to heart problems?” Demin asked.
“Yes, unfortunately,” the director noted.
He recounted that many years ago, when he first experienced heart pain, he went to the Heart Institute in Kyiv.
“It happened a long time ago. I don’t remember the year. My heart started to hurt. I went to the Heart Institute, and they quickly solved the problem, put in a stent,” Gorov said.
After that, the director worked hard, but heart problems resurfaced at the most unexpected moment.
“It was a very stressful year; I was still involved in show business. The time before New Year is very challenging. A ton of work. You’re working nonstop, hardly sleeping. Editing, all that. Then, on New Year’s Eve, we traditionally flew somewhere to America, to Miami. And also, 12 hours on a plane, you can’t sleep. Then you arrive in Miami, and there are some friends, and that’s when the heart attack hit,” Gorov said.
This happened on a yacht at sea, but he was fortunate to receive medical assistance in time.
“It happened at sea. Fortunately, there was the island of Puerto Rico nearby, and there was an American hospital there,” Gorov noted.
Now the director undergoes regular check-ups and takes necessary medications.
“But I’m being treated by good doctors, and I feel more or less okay. Unfortunately, my heart is not what it used to be. I have to take a lot of pills, and of course, I can’t party like I used to – it’s all about the regimen and everything,” Gorov remarked.

His real name is Sergey Egorov.
Born in Russia, he received his education and lives in Kyiv. The director and music producer filmed popular musicals in the past, such as “Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka,” “The Sorochyntsi Fair,” and “The Adventures of Verka Serdyuchka.”
He also directed music videos for well-known artists. Previously, the director was married to Snezhana Egorova. They have two daughters together – Anastasia and Alexandra.
He is now married to Yana Pomazan and is raising a son who was born in 2010.
