Congratulations and a signal for cooperation<\/strong><\/p>\n Zelensky noted that the victory of “Tisa” is an important signal – “when a constructive approach wins.” He expressed Ukraine’s readiness to develop good-neighborly relations with Hungary.<\/p>\n “We are ready for meetings and joint constructive work for the benefit of both nations, as well as for peace, security, and stability in Europe,” the president emphasized.<\/p>\n According to him, Ukraine has always sought good-neighborly relations with everyone in Europe, and the current results of the Hungarian elections open up new opportunities for cooperation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Recall that the parliamentary elections in Hungary took place on April 12, 2026. Voter turnout was historic – as of 6:30 PM, 77.80% of Hungarians (almost 6 million people) had voted.<\/p>\n The defeat of the “Fidesz” party in these elections was the result of record turnout (almost 78%). Orban’s campaign was built on anti-Ukrainian rhetoric. In the streets of Budapest, there were more portraits of Volodymyr Zelensky than images of Orban himself.<\/p>\n Feeling the risk of defeat, the Kremlin intensified its attempts to intervene in support of its ally. Journalists discovered that a team from Moscow, specializing in election hacking, was operating in Budapest.<\/p>\n Orban’s defeat also has a broader European context.
