The Ministry of Culture has called the concerts of these artists inappropriate. They have already sent recommendations to event organizers to cancel the performances and terminate their agreements.<\/p>\n
“The organizers of these events have been informed of the assessment findings with a recommendation to terminate any contractual relationships with individuals that may lead to their inability to enter the territory of the Republic of Moldova and, of course, to the cancellation of events,” the statement reads.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the Ministry noted that event organizers are responsible for whom they invite to the stage.<\/p>\n
“Cultural institutions and event organizers are obliged to assess the public impact of the guests they invite with the utmost seriousness, including potential risks,” the statement added.<\/p>\n

Scandals involving Vinnik, Saburov, and Arbenina<\/p>\n
The situation has sparked controversy due to the artists’ reputations. Arbenina, the frontwoman of the band “Night Snipers,” initially spoke out against Russia’s war on Ukraine. Even in 2022, she released a song titled “Don’t Be Silent.”<\/p>\n
Concerts by the singer began to be canceled in the country, but she continued to stay there. By 2023, she expressed support for the wives of Russian occupiers.<\/p>\n
As for Saburov, after the onset of the full-scale invasion, he adopted a silent stance, continuing to live and work in Russia.<\/p>\n
During one of his performances abroad, an activist approached him in a white dress with red stains symbolizing the blood of war victims. In response, Nurlan cynically joked, “Sorry, is that a period?”.<\/p>\n
However, the artist was unable to sit on two chairs. This year, he was banned from entering Russia.<\/p>\n
According to local media, among the reasons are violations of migration laws, veiled criticism of the war, and allegedly “laundering” earned money there.<\/p>\n
A video also circulated online, where he allegedly hands over motorcycles for assault units of the Wagner Group.<\/p>\n
Oleg Vinnik has also sparked considerable debate. After the start of the full-scale war, he left for Germany, continues to sing in Russian, and has repeatedly found himself in scandals due to inappropriate remarks.<\/p>\n
