There are two main reasons for the rapid price increase <\/p>\n

Inflation in Ukraine has accelerated: over the year, prices have risen by 7.9%, and by 1.7% just in March. The main reasons are the rise in fuel prices due to the conflict in the Middle East and the increase in global oil prices.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement from the National Bank.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The increase in fuel and oil prices has led to a rise in transportation costs.<\/p>\n

Fuel prices have risen by 23.4% over the year<\/strong>. Prices at gas stations have sharply increased – this is a direct consequence of the hostilities in the Middle East, which have significantly raised the prices of petroleum products and gas on the global market.<\/p>\n

State tariffs and fares have increased by 8.6%<\/strong>. Although the pace of growth has slowed somewhat, prices are still higher than expected. The main reason is the increase in fares for urban minibuses, as well as intercity transport, which is again linked to expensive fuel.<\/p>\n

The annual growth of prices for fresh products has slowed to 8.4%<\/strong>:<\/p>\n
