London fears that participation in such operations without a clear legal basis could contradict international law.<\/p>\n British authorities also seek to avoid direct involvement in a potential escalation of conflict in the Middle East.<\/p>\n Amid this backdrop, tension has arisen between allies. Trump publicly criticized Britain’s position, emphasizing the importance of its military bases for U.S. operations.<\/p>\n At the same time, London emphasizes that it is acting in accordance with national interests and is focused on mitigating escalation risks.<\/p>\n As is known, the U.S. is considering various options for strikes against Iranian infrastructure, particularly targeting transportation and energy facilities.<\/p>\n It is worth noting that in March, Britain did open its bases to the U.S. for strikes against Iran, but not against all targets.
