In April, Ukrainians will be able to receive additional targeted one-time assistance from the government in the amount of 1,500 hryvnias. However, only certain categories of citizens will be able to qualify for these payments.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Read also<\/strong>: “Pension on pause”: who among Ukrainians may have their payments suspended and how to fix it<\/p>\n<\/p>\n It is noted that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted resolution No. 341 “Certain issues of providing one-time monetary supplements to certain categories of the population.” Starting from April 1, 2026, additional payments will be received by individuals who already have a designated pension or social payments.<\/p>\n However, there are several conditions. The first is that for the payment to be received, the total amount of the pension along with all supplements and increases must not exceed 25,950 hryvnias<\/strong>. The second condition is that only certain categories will be entitled to these payments, specifically:<\/p>\n “At the same time, individuals who directly participated in the defense of Ukraine and the families of the deceased (missing) such individuals, participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster will receive the supplement regardless of the size of their pension<\/strong>,” the PFU added.<\/p>\n Regarding recipients of state social payments, some categories will also be eligible to receive<\/p>\n Additionally, one-time assistance will be provided to citizens who receive state social payments, specifically:<\/p>\n “The payment of assistance will occur automatically in April 2026 – no additional application is needed<\/strong>. Importantly, if a person is entitled to receive this supplement based on several grounds, the funds will be paid out only based on one of them<\/strong>,” the PFU noted.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Recall that previously, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko confirmed that the payments of an additional 1,500 hryvnias – as targeted support for pensioners and vulnerable categories of the population in Ukraine – will start on April 1, 2026.<\/p>\n And Minister of Social Policy Denys Uliutin assured that the one-time targeted support payments of 1,500 hryvnias to Ukrainians will begin as early as April 7. In particular, this concerns supplements for pensioners.<\/p>\n Pension Indexation<\/p>\n It should be noted that the PFU previously reported on the beginning of financing payments for April.<\/strong> Starting April 1, the first 95.6 million hryvnias were allocated for sick leave payments. Financing for pensions directly for April is planned to start on April 2. Also, starting April 1, the Pension Fund of Ukraine will automatically recalculate pensions.<\/p>\n It should be noted that starting March 1, 2026, many pensioners saw an increase in their payments as a result of the conducted indexation.
