They also plan to assess potential financing needs of states.<\/p>\n “The impact is significant, global, and highly asymmetric, disproportionately affecting energy importers, particularly low-income countries,” the statement said.<\/p>\n The conflict in the Middle East has already disrupted global supply chains and worsened the situation for some developing countries. This includes rising prices for oil, gas, and fertilizers, as well as new risks of food inflation.<\/p>\n The leaders of the three institutions also noted that the war has affected supply chains for helium, phosphates, aluminum, and other raw materials, as well as created additional challenges for air transportation.<\/p>\n The war in Iran and its economic consequences are expected to be one of the key topics at the spring meetings of the IMF and World Bank, which will take place from April 13 to 18.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Recall that the war between the US and Israel against Iran has been ongoing for over a month and is increasingly impacting not only the security situation but also the global economy. Against the backdrop of the conflict, oil prices have surged, and Europe is already preparing for potential prolonged disruptions in energy supplies.<\/p>\n At the same time, the Pentagon stated that the war is entering a decisive phase.
