The Office of the Prosecutor General has not signed the petition for two weeks <\/p>\n
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau is initiating the extradition of businessman Timur Mindich in the “Midas” case.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, this was stated in an interview with the YouTube channel “\u0404 \u043f\u0438\u0442\u0430\u043d\u043d\u044f” by the lead detective on the case, Alexander Abakumov.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The detective added that NABU hopes for the signing in the near future.<\/p>\n Furthermore, he explained that Israel is a complicated country for extradition, and to extradite a person, they need to provide essentially the materials of the entire criminal case.<\/p>\n “We have prepared and translated a large volume of evidence into their language to confirm that our suspicion is justified,” Abakumov said.<\/p>\n The “Midas” Case<\/p>\n Recall that Timur Mindich is a Ukrainian businessman, former co-owner of the “Kvartal 95” studio, who is currently wanted. He is linked to a large-scale corruption scandal in the energy sector (the so-called “Mindichgate” or operation “Midas”).<\/p>\n In November 2025, just hours before the searches, Mindich left Ukraine. Subsequently, journalists located him in Israel. During communication with the media, Mindich called the case a “media case” and denied any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n It should be noted that NABU uncovered the activities of a criminal group that included officials and businessmen in November of last year. Using official connections, the suspects controlled personnel decisions, procurement processes, and the financial flow of the company.<\/p>\n As law enforcement officials discovered, group members took kickbacks from “Energoatom” contractors.
